Import via Chrome Extension
Install the Extension
Prerelease software. The Tatemono IQ extension is currently distributed as a downloadable file and requires a one-time manual installation via Chrome's developer mode. When the extension is published to the Chrome Web Store, installation will be simpler.
These instructions are for Google Chrome — the web browser made by Google, not Internet Explorer, Safari, or other browsers. The extension also works on Microsoft Edge. If you do not have Chrome or Edge installed, download Chrome before continuing.
Download the extension
Log in to your Tatemono IQ account and go to Settings → Browser Extension. Click Download Extension to save the ZIP file to your computer.
Install the extension
1. Extract the ZIP file
Unzip the downloaded file to a permanent folder on your computer. Do not delete this folder after installing — Chrome loads the extension from it each time.
2. Open the extensions page
In Chrome, go to chrome://extensions/ — or in Microsoft Edge, go to edge://extensions/.
3. Enable Developer mode
Toggle the Developer mode switch in the top-right corner of the page.
4. Load the extension
Click Load unpacked and select the folder you extracted in step 1. The Tatemono IQ icon will appear in your browser toolbar.
5. Pin the extension
Click the puzzle-piece icon in the toolbar, find Tatemono IQ, and click the pin icon to keep it visible.
Supported Listing Sites
The extension supports the following 12 Japanese real estate listing sites:
- SUUMO
- AtHome
- 投資アットホーム
- LIFULL HOME'S 投資
- Rakumachi
- Kenbiya
- RealEstate.co.jp
- 三井のリハウス 投資用
- 東急リバブル 投資用
- RALSNET
- F-Takken
- Fukuoka Baibai
Import a Property
1. Navigate to a property listing page on any supported site. Make sure you are on an individual property page (not a search results page).
2. The extension automatically detects the page and imports the property data in the background.
3. Click the Tatemono IQ icon in your Chrome toolbar to open the popup.
4. The popup displays the extracted property data. Review the fields.
5. If you are a member of multiple Tatemono IQ teams, select the team you want to import the property into from the Properties will be saved to the selected team dropdown.
6. Click Submit to Tatemono IQ to save the property to your account. The property will appear in your dashboard within seconds.
7. The popup shows a confirmation message once the property is saved.
What Gets Imported
The extension extracts the following data from supported listing pages:
| Category | Fields |
|---|---|
| Location | Prefecture, city, district, full address, postal code, coordinates |
| Station access | Up to 3 nearby stations with line name and walking minutes |
| Property | Type, structure, floor area (m²), land area (m²), facing direction |
| Building | Year built, number of floors, elevator, auto-lock |
| Financial | Asking price, monthly rent, gross yield, management fee, repair reserve |
| Legal | Zoning classification, land rights, fire prevention zone |
Not all fields are available on every site. Fields that cannot be extracted are left blank and can be filled in manually after import.
Troubleshooting
Extension not detecting the site
Symptom: The popup shows "Unsupported site" or prompts you to navigate to a property page.
Fix: Make sure you are on an individual property detail page, not a search results page. The URL usually contains a property ID or code. Refresh the page and try again.
Fields missing after import
Symptom: The imported property is missing price, address, or other fields.
Cause: The listing site may have changed its page layout, which can break field extraction.
Fix: Use the Send Feedback link in the main Tatemono IQ application to submit a support request. Include the property URL and a description of the fields that are missing.
Listing site DOM change
Symptom: The extension detects the site but extracts incorrect or blank data after a site update.
Fix: Check for an extension update and install it. If the issue persists, use the Send Feedback link in the main Tatemono IQ application to submit a support request.
Google Translate is active
Symptom: Error message: "Google Translate is active and we could not fetch the original page."
Fix: Disable Google Translate on the page. Click the translation toolbar at the top of the browser and select Show original, then reopen the extension popup.
Extension not loading / popup won't open
Symptom: Clicking the Tatemono IQ extension icon does nothing, or Chrome shows the extension as disabled or crashed.
Fix: Open Chrome's extension manager (chrome://extensions), find Tatemono IQ, and make sure the toggle is enabled. If the extension is marked as "crashed," try removing it and reinstalling using the downloaded extension file (see Install the Extension). If your organisation manages Chrome via policy and has blocked the extension, contact your IT administrator. If the issue persists, use the Send Feedback link in the main Tatemono IQ application to submit a support request.
